Our client is a global mobility services company, facilitating the relocation of employees for multinational corporations and has a vacancy for a Regional Management Accountant who will be responsible for day to day processing and accounting of business units as well as monthly reporting, statutory accounts and ad hoc analysis and reporting.
During your probationary period, your working hours will be from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, at their Somerset West office. This arrangement is essential for ensuring a successful handover and fostering relationship-building activities. Upon the successful completion of your probation, you will transition to a hybrid working model, allowing for remote work two days a week.
Minimum Requirements & Qualities
- Relevant accounting degree
- A minimum of 3 years’ post articles experience in a similar position
- Strong technical knowledge with accounting systems usage and development e.g. Sage and other related transactional systems and databases
- Commercial acumen and desire to support business growth and change management
- Organizing and prioritizing daily/weekly tasks
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Adaptable to change and works well under pressure
- Ability to interpret various types of data and present in formats relevant to the audience(s)
- Excellent Excel and MS Office skills
- Knowledge of accounting software (Sage X3 desirable)
- Knowledge of working with various currencies
- Team player

Duties & Responsibilities
Accounting & Transactional:
- Monthly review and accurate reconciliation to include:
- All balance sheet accounts
- Profit & loss accounts with variance analysis
- Margin analysis of the services delivered
- Reconciliation of inter-company figures
- Ensuring controls, management reports, exception reports are created , produced and reviewed for accuracy and on time.
- Leading and assisting with statutory audit preparation and ongoing support with auditors during audit periods in conjunction with Finance Manager
- Liaising with regional teams to ensure alignment of financials with operational actions
- Maintaining the bank accounts, processing and performing monthly reconciliations
- Prepayments, accruals and other general ledger journal entries
- Understanding and developing Sage and other transactional systems reporting and developments to improve controls, performance and efficiency
- Processing employee expenses
- Monitor, review & oversee AR and AP ledgers
- Review monthly payment runs with cashflow summary
- Ensure reconciliation to transactional systems
- Submission of monthly payroll updates and review of reports before final submission
- Processing payroll journals
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- VAT returns
- P11D’s (UK only) & equivalents Globally
- Monthly pension contributions upload into pension portals
- Budget and quarterly forecast preparation working with Country Directors and FM/GFC
- Supporting general day to day queries via email, phone and face to face
- Any other requirements of the role as directed by your manager
Business Reporting & Analysis:
- Preparing and developing monthly management reports
- Monthly Financial reviews and comparisons to Budget and prior year for income statement, balance sheet and cashflow
- Working capital analysis and planning
- Performance insight related to non-financial drivers e.g. clients, initiations
- Extract data to prepare and develop Management Information and Business Intelligence to act as true business partner to Country Heads, CFO, CEO, etc.
- Assisting with Group projects such as alignment of financial practices and policies, development of X3 technology, global operations processes, software integration, etc.
- Completion of specific projects for the Finance Manager
- General country business unit finance queries
Salary
Our client offers a salary between R35 000 and R45 000, depending on qualification and experience.
